|Title:||Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift|
Schedules delivery times for inbound freight. Manage and maintain the schedule for incoming shipments. Inspects material on truck for damage during transit, unload truck, break-down in-bound freight by item, counts for accuracy and compares against the trucking load list. Pulls up purchase order and compare items and quantities against what has been received. Enters amounts received to reflect against the PO. Send raw material that requires inspection to Quarantine. Manages internal receipt of finished goods. Counts items and compares against the quantities noted on the ticket, and enters transaction for the transfer of goods.
At the notification from Purchasing, manages materials in the systems for proper tracking if product is rejected. Inputs Purchase Order Maintenance to get credit for the return or does paperwork for proof of destruction instead of shipping back rejected item. Inputs inventory transactions for inventory returns by entering material back into inventory.
Prepare materials and finished goods for warehouse storage and place in coordinated areas of the warehouse. Operate specialized equipment such as pallet wrap machine, fork lift, etc. Enter transactions into system for inventory accuracy.
Engage in housekeeping, safety and continuous improvement projects.
Perform other duties as required.
Education: High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience. Must have valid, current forklift license or be able to obtain one within 2 weeks of accepting position. Must be able to speak, read/comprehend, and write in English.
Experience: 1-3 years of work experience in receiving or related field preferred.
